Hornsea & District Lions Concert
Katie's Concerts goes "on tour" to perform in Hornsea!
During our last acoustic evening at the Carnival, Jackie Ashburner from Hornsea was in the audience and was so impressed with the performers asked us if we would take Katie's Concerts on tour to perform in Hornsea.
Jackie's husband, Graham, was soon to become the President of Hornsea & District Lions and saw this as an opportunity to support the charity and the local young people in Hornsea by holding a fundraising event.
With the help of N L Johnson's Coaches we all arrived in Hornsea on time, had a leisurely soundcheck, a meal and went on stage at 8.30. (unheard of!!)
The performers, Melissa, Tom, Dan, Mike, Lisa and Mark put on a two hour show that went down really well with the "new" audience.
Hornsea and District Lions president Graham Ashburner, presented us with a wonderful cheque for £500. We look forward to maybe going back in the future.
