Official Launch Party!
Katie's Concerts officially launch the charity after gaining registered charity status.
Katie's Concerts was officially recognised as a charity when we officially launched at a high-profile reception attended by more than 150 people.
Guests at the launch enjoyed a concert by local musicians Melissa Cook, Tom Darwood, Lisa McWilliam and Emma Lee.
The launch took place in a marquee donated by Mr and Mrs Brian Petiffer and included a reception with food donated by Barton restaurant Rafters.
It is now registered with the Charity Commission and the recognition means the organisation should be able to go from strength to strength, by applying for funding from national organisations.
Of the £20,000-plus already raised for charity, 50 per cent has gone to Cancer Research UK with the remainder split between the Blue Cross, a pet charity, and the local activities of Katie's Concerts.
